Maple Syrup is tapped out of trees..

Completely pointless, and wierd naming it "Maple Syrup," was a waste of time to load. I don't know where you are going to go with this?

Well, I can see what you're saying "Raaawr", but one thing I didn't tell about, was the title. The signifigance, is, the flash takes place in Canada, for one, and for the other, maple syrup on pancakes is the main character's favorite dish.
